The Do It For Durrett Foundation is celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a live performance from the Josh Abbott Band! Making a stop on their Somewhere Down The Road Tour, the Josh Abbott Band will play a full set featuring hits from their new album 'Somewhere Down The Road,' as well as beloved classics like 'She's Like Texas.' Founded in Lubbock while attending Texas Tech University, the Joh Abbott Band has long been supporters of the Do It For Durrett Foundation and fans of the Texas Rangers.
Do It For Durrett was founded in 2014 when sports personality, Richard Durrett, suddenly passed at the age of 38, leaving his then pregnant wife and two children behind. Richard long covered the Texas Rangers and was a treasured personality amongst players, coaches, and members of the media. Do It For Durrett has raised more than $2M and helped over 250 families in the DFW area that have been impacted by sudden loss.
The Official DJ of the Texas Rangers, DJ CStatz, will kick things off before Josh Abbott Band hits the stage. We will have an incredible silent and live auctions available to help raise money for our community!
