Texas Live! announces big hiring plans, bringing more than 1,000 jobs to Arlington
The Cordish Companies, Texas Rangers and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County will host a job fair later this month as hiring ramps up for Arlington's Texas Live! project.
The job fair will be held from 2-7 p.m. on April 26 at Globe Life Park. Applicants must pre-register for the event at www.texaslivejobfair.eventbrite.com.
Texas Live! is scheduled to open by the late summer/early fall and will have approximately 1,025 permanent jobs when facilities start opening. When construction on the project's hotel, Live! by Loews, is finished next year, it will bring another 220 permanent jobs to the development.
"The Texas Rangers and the Cordish Companies are committed to finding a team of employees for Texas Live! that is local and diverse," said Judy McDonald, executive director for Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, in a prepared statement.
Texas Live! is an entertainment district that will be anchored by a new baseball stadium for the Texas Rangers, which is scheduled to open in March 2020. Construction on the stadium and development has begun, which will bring a total of 2,000 construction jobs to the area, according to a joint release from the companies involved in the project.
The types of jobs available at the job fair will range from entry level to management. The development is looking for cooks, servers, bartenders, front- and back-of-house staff and music entertainment specialists, in addition to sales, marketing and promotional managers.
